Well, she certainly succeded. I can't say it is a good thing though. Women aren't meant to look as if they are a piece of art. This is the real world Ms. Holstein. Maybe you can afford to just stand around, but most of us can't.
OK, I guess I am just irritated. She attended Parsons. One of the very best, if not the best, fashion design school around. And this is all she could come up with? Ugly oversized shirts with arm holes and necklines so low if the wearer moves the slightest bit anyone get's a full view of what is underneath. Don't we wear clothes to cover up, not show everything off? What's more, it apparently took six fittings to get the stupid shirts right!
A Catherine Holstein top costs about $400. Too much for most normal people. Let's hope it doesn't spawn knock offs.
Did I mention her last name reminds me of cows?

she is being creative! if you dont like her, dont buy her clothes! she is finding something out of the ordinary and if you want normal shapes, go to saks and buy prada!!!
silly girl! I do like Holstein's frocks! It may be expensive, but there so freaking simple that anyone with a good tailor can copy! plus: i don't live in your country so nobody will know about...

Maybe if you stopped trashing others, you could get into Parsons also...don't be mad at her for something you can't do. I personally know Catherine, and she works her butt off to get her collections done. I don't see your designs selling out at Barney's.

You are so far off base with your comments it is stunning. You happen to be referring to a young designer who successfully launched her first collection on a shoestring budget through sheer hard work, talent, and perseverence.
You are entitled to your opinion regarding design, quite obviously. But to suggest that Ms. Holstein did not earn her success, and to take some swipe at her because you don't care for her name, is wholly illegitimate.
I think that it's ugly. Who would actually wear that out?
